Q: How much is the registration fee?A: Donation

Q: How much is the entry fee for the parents to watch the game?

A: Game prices range from $5-20 per person per tournament.

Q: How much does the team pay to enter the tournament?

A: $300-500

Q: How far do we travel?

A: While we try to enter as many local tournaments as possible, it will be necessary to travel out of town for better competition and to fulfill requirements set forth by AAU and USSSA. This generally means Tampa, Orlando, and the East Coast of FL. However some tournaments may be out of state and are at the discretion of each coach.

Q: How do I know which uniform to bring to the games?

A: Always bring both

Q: Do we keep the uniform at the end of the season?

A: No all uniforms will be collected at the end of the season, each player will keep their shoes if provided, their warm ups and bags if provided.

Q: Will my child play every game?

A: Not necessarily.

Q: Who is the starting 5?

A: We don’t have a set starting five, every child has chance to earn a starting spot on any given day or at any given tournament.

Q: Who picks the players for individual awards?

A: Coaches/players

Q: What are the game awards/trophies based on?

A: Game performance and overall attitude

Q: Why do you keep your starters in so long , even when we are up by 25?

A: First in some cases we are working on a certain play or formation, second USSSA is based on a point system we need to gain as much points is possible to improve our rankings for future tournaments.

Q: How many players are on the roster?

A: Each team will try to carry 10 – 12 players, but this is not set in stone, and is up to each team coach.

Q: Why would the 5th grade team play in a 6th grade tournament?

A: There are not enough 5th grade teams locally or entering the tournaments we are in.

Q: When does the tournament schedule become available?

A: The Tuesday before the weekend tournament begins

Q: How many games will we play this season?

A: Each coach will decide how many tournaments there team will play in. You are guaranteed three games at a three day tournament, and 1 – 2 games at a one day tournament. The number of games adds up and depends on how far a team wants to go, states, nationals.

Q: Will we have a banquet?

A: Yes the awards are donated by Anything Engravable and the location and date are TBA

Q: What is Coach’s biggest pet peeve?

A: Walking on the court, attitude, being afraid to make a mistake.

Q: What is the Coach’s short term goal?

A: Keep the kids having fun while they learn the game of basketball.

Q: What are good basketball camps for the girls to attend this summer?

A: University of Tennesee Vols Camp, FGCU overnight camp, Florida Southern, Fort Myers High Shoot Out, Bishop Verot Hoop School.
